In Wyoming, being part of a community is important. Community plays a vital role in Wyoming, fostering connections, enhancing quality of life, and contributing to the state’s well-being. It helps people connect, makes life better, and keeps everyone safe. It’s like being part of a big family.  Wyoming residents actively participate in local and national elections. About 84% say they always or usually vote in state and local elections, and 86% vote in national elections. Community values extend beyond economic factors, enriching lives through social bonds, shared experiences, and collective well-being.

Rural communities have several benefits that make them appealing. Living in rural areas reduces stress because of the quiet surroundings and open spaces. Our small towns foster strong community bonds, where neighbors support and depend on each other, combating loneliness. Rural living provides a sense of purpose and autonomy over land and property. Finally, rural areas contribute to improved mental health by avoiding the hustle and bustle of cities, which can lead to anxiety and depression.

Living in one of Wyoming's larger cities, I have experienced firsthand the incredible sense of community that defines our state. From neighbors who lend a helping hand to local businesses that go the extra mile for their customers, the spirit of mutual support and solidarity is truly remarkable. I am committed to fostering this sense of community by advocating for policies that strengthen local economies, improve public services, and enhance the quality of life for all residents. By working together, we can ensure that Wyoming remains a vibrant, welcoming place where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Wyoming’s conservation efforts and pride in the land are intertwined, creating a harmonious relationship that is central to the state's identity. Over the past 30 years, organizations like The Nature Conservancy (TNC) have protected over 1 million acres and 1,500 river miles in Wyoming. This legacy of conservation reflects the state's commitment to preserving its natural beauty. Wyomingites recognize their role as stewards of the land, practicing sustainable agriculture, supporting clean water initiatives, and conserving natural resources, which actively contribute to the state’s well-being and demonstrate their pride in Wyoming's unique landscapes.

Wyoming's vast landscapes are home to iconic species like bison, elk, and pronghorn, which are integral to the state’s identity. The well-being of these animals depends on dedicated conservation efforts that protect their habitats. By preserving these natural spaces, Wyoming residents express pride in their wildlife heritage and ensure that future generations can enjoy the state’s rugged mountains, pristine rivers, and open spaces. This pride extends to recreational activities, as residents take joy in hiking, fishing, and connecting with nature in these preserved areas.

As a candidate, I will actively support Wyoming’s conservation and pride in the land through several meaningful actions. I will promote legislation and policies that prioritize land protection, wildlife habitat preservation, and sustainable resource management. By engaging with local representatives, I will ensure that conservation remains a priority. Together, we can continue to honor and preserve the natural wonders that make Wyoming unique.

Freedom means being able to act, think, and make choices without being stopped by unfair rules or control. In politics, freedom includes the right to speak, gather, worship, and write what you want. These rights are protected by laws and are important in democratic societies. Social freedom means making personal decisions and living according to your own beliefs and values without being held back by unfair societal norms or laws.

Wyomingites value freedom, reflecting a strong belief in personal rights and limited government. They support individual rights, including the right to make personal decisions about body autonomy and firearms. Many believe in a small government that does not interfere much in personal lives or economic activities. Respect for private property and the ability to use land freely are also important. The state's history of independence and self-sufficiency influences these beliefs, balancing personal freedom with a strong sense of community.

Economic freedom is about being able to own property, start a business, live debt-free, and make contracts without too much government interference. Social freedom also includes the right to form relationships, join social activities, and express one's authenticity without facing discrimination. Intellectual freedom is the right to think freely and share your ideas without fear of being punished.

As a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, I am committed to upholding and supporting individual freedoms by actively defending the rights enshrined in the Constitution, ensuring that every citizen's voice is heard and protected. I will work to limit government overreach and safeguard personal liberties, promoting policies that empower individuals to pursue their own paths without undue interference. By championing transparency and accountability, I aim to foster a government that truly serves and respects the freedom and autonomy of its people.

Hard work means putting in a lot of effort, time, and persistence to achieve a goal. It involves dedication, discipline, and overcoming obstacles. Wyomingites who believe in hard work think that consistent and focused effort is key to success.

There are also other ways to get the job done efficiently. This includes using smart strategies, tools, and methods that save time and effort, like automation and prioritization. Delegating tasks to others with the right skills, collaborating with teammates, hiring outside experts, and using helpful tools and templates can make tasks easier and faster. Community support is important; working together and sharing resources can help everyone achieve their goals more effectively. Workers' protections play a significant role by advocating for workers' rights, ensuring fair wages, and improving working conditions, which can make hard work more rewarding and manageable. While these methods can improve productivity, they often still need a base of hard work to be successful. Balancing hard work with smart strategies, and community support depends on the task and goal.

As a candidate, I deeply recognize the hard work and dedication of Wyomingites, whose resilience and commitment drive our state's success. I am determined to bring that same level of dedication to Washington, D.C., ensuring that the needs and concerns of our community are always at the forefront of my efforts. Honesty refers to the quality or fact of being honest. It encompasses positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, and straightforwardness. In essence, honesty involves adhering to the facts, maintaining sincerity, and upholding moral rectitude. Whether it’s anticipating honesty in politics or expecting it from those who work with us, this virtue plays a crucial role in our interactions and relationships.

While integrity and truthfulness are admirable qualities, human behavior is complex. Factors like personal circumstances, societal pressures, and individual choices influence our actions. Striving for honesty is commendable, but achieving it consistently throughout a lifetime is challenging. Despite this, the effort to uphold honesty remains a critical aspect of personal and professional integrity.

Straightforwardness can be more impactful than honesty in certain situations. While honesty involves telling the truth, straightforwardness goes beyond that. It means expressing opinions, feedback, or information directly, without unnecessary complexity or evasion. Being straightforward ensures clear communication, saves time, and is appreciated by others for building trust. In problem-solving, it helps identify root causes and inspires confidence in leadership. However, it's important to balance straightforwardness with empathy and kindness to maintain positive relationships.

I will be straightforward with you now and tell you that I have not always been an honest person. It has taken a great deal of introspection and hard work on myself to recognize, see, and admit my vulnerabilities. There have been times in my life when lying made the most sense to protect myself and stay safe. I don't enjoy when other people lie to me, and I certainly do not want to lie to others. I will be straightforward with you, sharing my thoughts and beliefs openly and honestly. I will also listen to you and strive to provide a safe space where you do not feel the necessity to lie, steal, or cheat to feel secure in your person.
