The Democratic Issues Forum will kick off their 2024-2025 season with guest speaker Kyle (aka “El”) Cameron, candidate for the US House of Representatives.  Come to the Casper Ramkota, at noon on Saturday, September 14, and hear how, as a progressive Democrat, Kyle’s commitment to the people of Wyoming and her vision for the future set her apart.

Cameron’s platform is built on progressive values that prioritize the needs of the community. She advocates for ensuring “the people have a right to be secure in their persons,”  fair wages, safe working conditions, the right to organize and by implementing strong regulations to protect our natural resources and combat climate change while promoting renewable energy projects. She will work for equality and inclusivity, ensuring that all Wyomingites rights are protected and upheld.  All In contrast to the current Wyoming Representative, Hageman’s detrimental voting record on reproductive rights, workers, the environment, and human rights.

“I understand that not all news is sunshine and rainbows, but I believe that it's the tough moments that make us stronger. I’m committed to bringing this resilience and determination to my campaign and, ultimately, to serving the people of Wyoming in Congress.” stated Cameron.

A UW graduate, she holds a BA in Social Science, a MS in Organizational Leadership, and a Masters in Philosophy.  Her varied career includes program management, home schooling for 15 years, a census taker, grant administrator, and volunteering as 4-H leader and Chair of the Wyoming Democratic Labor Caucus.
