“You think you just fell out of a coconut tree? You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you,” Kamala Harris

It's been a while since I've updated my current topics. In a very short span of time, there's been an assassination attempt and a resignation. I am acutely aware of the prevalence of people yelling “this isn’t fair” and shaking their fists. For those who seek fair and meaningful justice, I hear you.

We are now at a crucial point in our democracy where the Democratic Party has an opportunity to demonstrate unity and support around its nominee, not just through words but through concrete actions. I am deliberate in my choice of words when I say that Vice President Kamala Harris is unequivocally my number one choice. I am not naive to the fact that she is a woman of color, and I am acutely aware that she is intelligent, honest, forthright, and will swear allegiance to uphold the U.S. Constitution, not to some manifesto of a reality tv dictatorial cult.

We the People of the United states, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessing of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United State of America.
